For the past 6 years I have attended the Beirut Marathon as a SABIS student, and it never failed to exceed my expectations. For starters, this year my friends and I decided to challenge ourselves by running the marathon instead of walking the whole 8 km like we used to. Not only did we have each other to keep us motivated, but there were also booths to entertain us along the way. In addition, everywhere we turned, we found a group of students wearing SABIS shirts; it was amazing to see how all three SABIS schools were united as one. Although we did not all know each other, I was proud to represent my school along with Koura and Choueifat. I plan on continuing to participate in the Beirut Marathon for several years to come, whether as a student or an alumni!
